THE BURNING SANDS

I walk across this scorching land,

My feet burning at the minerals of sand.

The dunes hiss like a snake as the night fully takes the day,

And the light fully seeps away.

I hear a hyaenas distant cry,

As the burning sand makes my feet fry.

I examine the curvature of a dune,

As the blazing sun hits like a harpoon.

A distant camel slowly wanders

Its fluffy body makes me ponder,

Ponder at the distant sight

Impossible to make out in the dark night.

I get closer until I see trees,

An oasis with shelter from the cold night breeze.

After a quick drink I hit the hay,

And say goodbye to the scorching day.

     SUPERB SUMMER

Spring is like a trailer for summer

Too bad we’re still in spring what a bummer

Whether its long beach walks or summer night talks

In summer we watch the temperature rise like hawks

When u feel this first bit of summer heat

Ice cream is the only thing we want to eat

When you’re sprawled out on the beach like a cat

From the sun beating down like a bat

When you need to quench your thirst

Lemonade comes to your aid

Oh hot sunny school days are the worst

Especially when there’s sports outside to be played

It’s the best playing soccer with a friend

From day to night time is not tight

When you’re out with friends till days end

Summer is the best in that I am right

Weather in Ireland

Weather in Ireland is like rolling a dice

one day will be sunny, the next as cold as ice.

weather in Ireland is a game of chance

which makes it impossible to make any plans

You could go to the beach

you'll be soaked by the rain

Or you could decide to go ice skating

but your trip will be in vain

Yes weather in Ireland is miserable

and weather in Ireland is cold

but I still love dear old Ireland

its beauty will never get old.
